Job Description The Patient Services Representative serves as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, playing a critical role in providing exceptional customer service and administrative support. This position is responsible for greeting patients, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, and assisting with check-in and check-out processes. This role allows for a hybrid schedule upon completion of the 90-day introductory period and commencement of training. Responsibilities Greet patients and visitors warmly and professionally. Schedule and confirm appointments accurately via phone or in person. Verify and update patient demographics and insurance information. Collect co-pays and other payments, provide receipts, and balance daily transactions. Manage patient check-in/check-out processes efficiently. Answer phones, respond to inquiries, and route calls to appropriate departments. Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and excellent service. Perform general administrative duties such as filing, scanning, and data entry. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required 1+ years' experience in a healthcare or customer service environment (orthopedic setting is a plus) Insurance verification experience preferred Experience with EMR systems (ModMed preferred) Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Calm under pressure and capable of multitasking A patient-first mindset and positive attitude Benefits Competitive compensation Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with 3% company Safe Harbor contribution and profit sharing Generous PTO and paid holidays $100.00 uniform voucher and company provided scrub jacket after 1 year of employment Opportunities for training, growth, and advancement A supportive and team-oriented work culture
