Braincare Performance Center - Colorado is expanding our Interventional Psychiatry and Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) program and is seeking a Psychiatrist (MD/DO) for a flexible, part-time 1099 contractor opportunity. This position is ideal for a psychiatrist seeking highly flexible supplemental income with minimal administrative burden while participating in an innovative and rapidly growing area of mental health treatment. The role is primarily telepsychiatry with limited in-person clinic responsibilities. Position Summary The Contract Psychiatrist will provide psychiatric oversight for patients undergoing TMS therapy, including TMS motor threshold mappings, psychiatric evaluations, treatment reviews, and clinical collaboration with the care team. The psychiatrist will also provide supervision for Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) as required. Most responsibilities can be performed remotely, with approximately one required in-clinic day per month. Responsibilities Perform TMS motor threshold (MT) mappings for patients beginning TMS treatment Conduct psychiatric intake assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and treatment consultations as needed Review patient appropriateness for TMS treatment and provide clinical recommendations Collaborate with APPs, TMS technicians, therapists, and clinical staff regarding treatment planning and patient care Provide ongoing clinical oversight for TMS services and safety monitoring Supervise APPs in accordance with Tennessee regulations and clinic policies Maintain accurate and timely documentation consistent with clinical and regulatory standards Communicate professionally with patients, referral sources, and team members Participate in one required in-person clinic day per month; remaining responsibilities are primarily telehealth-based Compensation $100,000 - $250,000 annually (based on volume and participation) 1099 Independent Contractor position Flexible scheduling with strong income potential Minimal administrative responsibilities — scheduling, billing, and operational support handled by clinic staff Schedule & Work Environment No hospital call No weekends required Flexible scheduling Choose your own clinic days (DTC & Colorado Springs locations) Support staff handles administrative work Established referral pipeline No insurance credentialing headaches Approximately 5-10 hours per week Primarily remote/telehealth Highly flexible scheduling Collaborative and clinician-focused environment Qualifications Active and unrestricted Colorado medical license (MD or DO) Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry Current, unrestricted DEA registration Active TRICARE credentialing preferred Experience with TMS or interventional psychiatry preferred but not required Training and onboarding in TMS protocols provided Strong clinical judgment and comfort treating patients with depression, anxiety, PTSD, and related psychiatric conditions Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team Why Join Braincare Performance Center - Colorado?
