- Direct TraumaBase experience (Required)
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify trauma patients for inclusion in the Trauma Registry.
- Abstract trauma patient data using TraumaBase.
- Assign ICD-10 and AIS codes.
- Calculate Injury Severity Scores (ISS).
- Maintain trauma registry quality and data integrity.
- Validate registry data and resolve edits.
- Support NTDB, TQIP, NORTR, and state reporting requirements.
- Identify and document
- Performance Improvement (PI) opportunities.
- Generate reports for Trauma
- Committee and leadership.
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, HIPAA, and regulatory standards.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Experience:
- 3-5+ years of Trauma Registry experience
- Direct TraumaBase experience (Required)
- 2+ years of AIS coding within a Trauma Registry8ICD-10 coding experience
- ISS calculation experience
- Trauma abstraction and registry maintenance
- Ability to work independently with minimal training Certifications (Preferred):
