Onsite, Cranston, Rhode Island Pay Rate:
27.38 The Department of Health has retained Knowledge Services to provide a Licensing Aid. This position will support the Center for Vital Records. This position is responsible for the management of the Rhode Island statewide vital events registration for the RI Department of Health, Center for Vital Records in accordance with RI General Law. Responsibilities
  • Accurately enter data of statistical information into the States database.
  • Maintain the database and make corrections for reporting accuracy.
  • Provide guidance and support to 39 cities and towns and the public.
  • Support for customers making in-person requests.
  • Issue Vital Records in response to in person and mail/online requests
  • As required, to perform a variety of generic clerical tasks including typing, filing, recordkeeping, phone coverage, etc.
  • To do related work as required. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Must be proficient in all Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.
  • Must articulate well over the Phone and Email.
  • Ability to maintain confidently of records and information.
  • Ability to interact professionally and courteously with the public and licensees Education and Experience
Education:
Such as may have been gained through: graduation from a senior high school
  • Experience gained through employment in a clerical or related position involving the exercise of independent judgement in the processing of various transactions.
  • Or, any combination of education and experience that shall be substantially equivalent to the above education and experience #LI-BP1
