Job Description

Performs a variety of secretarial and clerical support duties for rehabilitation services in accordance with established procedures and as directed by the manager. EEO/AA/Disability/Veteran Responsibilities 1. Demonstrates professional and pleasant interpersonal communication skills. 1.1 Answers phone promptly and courteously. 2. Schedules patient appointments via phone or in person. 2.1 Responds in a helpful way to all inquiries as observed by staff. 3. Registers patients into computer system. 3.1 Demonstrates accuracy in registrations. 4. Enters charges and reconciles daily reports. 4.1 Accurately enters daily charges form therapists' charge sheets. 5. Receives co-pay/ co-insurance payments. 5.1 Demonstrates ability to explain basic insurance co-pay and co-insurance information to patients. 6. Completes medical record correspondance. 6.1 Acts as effective liaison with Clinical Information. 7. Obtains insurance authorization when needed for patient treatment. 7.1 Calls insurance companies as needed to obtain authorization for treatment. 8. Works as a team member. 8.1 Demonstrates willingness and ability to assist others as requested. Responds to requests in a timely manner. Qualifications
