Job Description

Southern Shores Urogynecology is a patient focused medical practice serving patients in a professional and supportive environment. Our goal is to create an clinical family of providers/support staff where women who suffer with embarrassing, intimate health care needs feel reassured, validated and immediately know we offer solutions to their problems outside of pads and adult pull-ups. We seek to compassionately serve women with Pelvic Floor Disorders offering surgical and non surgical care options through a patient-centered, shared decision making model utilizing evidenced based medicine.
    PREVIOUS WORK EXPERIENCE IN A MEDICAL OFFICE/HEALTHCARE SETTING IS REQUIRED
    We are looking to hire a Certified Medical Assistant with previous urology/gynecology experience. The right candidate will have a strong background in assisting medical professionals with a genuine passion for helping others. The M.A. must be able to quickly understand and remember intricate medical terminology as well as become familiar with a large array of medical instruments, equipment and procedures. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic team that has been well-established for many years and the ideal candidate will be creative, flexible and willing to take initiative. The candidate will be cross trained as a medical office assistant. We are looking for a bright individual with excellent multi-tasking capabilities to include professionally answering phones, scheduling appointments, and completing insurance verification.
    • Must exhibit definitive communication skills with attention to delivering quality customer service.
    • Medical Office Work Experience is appreciated
    • Microsoft Word, Excel Spreadsheet, and EMR proficiency is required
    Additional Responsibilities:
    Communicate clearly and convey a professional image in person and on the phone. Prepare accurate patient medical records. Document and maintain patients' information to ensure continuity of care. Perform basic examination procedures such as temperature taking and blood pressure taking, assisting providers with pelvic exams and procedures. Perform basic lab tests such as urine cultures. Communicate clearly with the patient's care team when needed. Perform standard clinical duties when providers are in surgery to maintain patient needs. Perform chronic care management duties via phone calls to patients.

    $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
