Job Overview Join our dynamic medical office team as a Front Desk Receptionist, where your energetic and welcoming attitude will set the tone for exceptional patient experiences. In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring smooth clinic operations through efficient scheduling, accurate documentation, and compassionate customer service. Your expertise in medical administrative support and familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems will help us deliver top-quality care while maintaining strict adherence to clinical confidentiality policies. Responsibilities Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing excellent customer service and guiding them through check-in procedures Manage appointment scheduling using Veradigm (formerly Allscripts)EMR systems Verify patient insurance coverage, explain billing procedures, and assist with health insurance questions while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations Handle incoming calls professionally, schedule appointments, answer inquiries about services, and direct calls appropriately using phone etiquette Support medical billing processes by collecting payments, including co pays, balances, cost shares and deductibles. Requirements Proven experience in a medical office setting or healthcare environment with strong clerical skills Knowledge of EMR/EHR systems is highly preferred Strong communication skills with the ability to provide exceptional patient service over the phone and in person Ability to maintain confidentiality according to HIPAA guidelines and uphold clinical confidentiality policies.
