Visit our website to learn more about our remarkable company: https://www.dmshealth.com/ The Patient Access Representative Scheduler assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, schedules, and documents patient information and performs scheduling duties to accommodate contracted accounts. This is an on-site, office-based position located at our Sioux Falls site at 109 South Petro Avenue. Remote or hybrid work is not available for this role. The schedule is Monday-Friday, daytime hours, 8:00a.m - 5:00p.m and will include a rotating on call schedule once every three weeks. Earn $200/week for the on-call schedule and pay for actual hours worked during this time. The on-call schedule is from 5:00 p.m.-10:00pm Sunday-Friday.
Essential Functions:
Handles scheduling and rescheduling appointments, cancellations, and resolving scheduling conflicts. Gathers and reviews all required medical information, patient history information, and pertinent symptoms of and with each patient before performing exam. Calls the facilities, technologists, and pharmacy to verify daily schedules. Ensures that the appropriate pharmaceuticals are ordered and delivered on time. Shares clinical information, patient history information, and pertinent symptoms of each patient with the technologist prior to exam being performing. Answers questions and concerns from patients, technologists, and customers. Ensures that examination records are accurately complied and complete and that all required clinical information, patient history information, and pertinent symptoms are present prior to submission for interpretation. Reviews physician orders or exam requisition prior to the exam being performed. Demonstrates commitment to customer satisfaction and quality as exhibited by internal and external customer feedback. This includes timely completion of mandatory education and current credentials. Complies with safety and quality procedures and initiatives by strictly following safety policies, rules and safe work methods, making suggestions to support continuous improvements in safety, promptly correcting or reporting safety hazards or unsafe conditions, promptly reporting injuries for timely diagnoses and medical treatment, and by participating in safety processes such as safety committee, safety inspections, etc. Performs other duties as assigned. Experience:
The equivalent to the completion of a high school diploma. Prior experience in a scheduling position and using medical scheduling software and knowledge of medical terminology is a plus. Excellent customer service, time management, and organization skills. A strong accuracy and detail orientation. A pleasant and professional demeanor over the phone.
