Patient Access Specialist On‑Site | Chattanooga, TN Full‑Time | Contract to hire (6 months) Entry Level | Healthcare Customer Service About the Role We are hiring a Patient Access Specialist to support a fast‑paced healthcare environment. This role focuses on administrative and clerical support related to patient records, billing documentation, and internal requests. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong attention to detail, customer service experience, and interest in building a career in healthcare operations. Key Responsibilities Process and fulfill requests for medical records, EOBs, UB‑92 forms, and itemized statements Sort, track, and distribute incoming mail and documentation Perform general office tasks including filing, scanning, indexing, and data entry Review and process claims and documentation from multiple sources Work within system queues and online files to complete assigned tasks Ensure accurate documentation and timely completion of work items Communicate with internal teams regarding requests and documentation needs What We're Looking For Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Previous administrative, office, or customer service experience Familiarity with medical terminology Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work independently and handle research tasks Comfortable in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Preferred (Nice to Have) Experience in healthcare or patient access Exposure to EPIC or similar systems Data entry or 10‑key experience Customer service experience Schedule & Work Environment On‑site role in Chattanooga, TN Office/healthcare setting with a collaborative team environment Various shift options may be available (day, mid, or rotating schedules) Fast‑paced environment with high daily volume Additional Requirements Background check required Drug screening required Pre‑employment health screenings and immunizations may be required Why This Role Entry point into healthcare administration Hands‑on experience with medical records and billing processes Opportunity to build transferable skills in a high‑demand industry Structured environment with defined processes and growth potential #westpriority26 Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Chattanooga, TN.
