We are looking for a reliable, hard-working individual to join our appointments team. Position Summary The Appointment Scheduler, under the supervision of the Practice Support Manager, provides exceptional customer service by ensuring a positive patient experience for new and seasoned patients alike. This includes but is not limited to: Registering and/or updating patient registrations completely and accurately Verifying insurance eligibility and updating insurance Scheduling, cancelling, and rescheduling appointments Answering incoming phone lines in a welcoming and professional manner Checking voicemail lines and returning calls in a timely manner Informing patients of any existing balance and request patient be prepared for any payment due at time of visit Staying current on task-bucket messages Maintaining confidentiality of patient information Other duties as assigned Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelors preferred 1-2 years minimum work experience in front office setting, scheduling, etc. Strong computer proficiency with Windows and Outlook experience Good decision-making, communication, and organizational skills Ability to perform multiple tasks in a busy, ever-changing environment Previous experience in healthcare preferred Previous experience with scheduling medical appointments preferred • This job description is not a complete or comprehensive list of duties required for employees.
