What You'll Do In this role, you'll help keep the billing process running smoothly by: Processing and preparing insurance claims accurately and on time. Reviewing, monitoring, and following up on submitted insurance claims. Appealing underpaid or denied claims to maximize reimbursement. Obtaining required authorizations for patient services. Staying current on insurance billing regulations and payer requirements. Posting adjustments and payments using Explanation of Benefits (EOBs). Communicating with patients and insurance companies regarding account balances and billing questions. Collaborating with Medical Records and other departments to obtain needed documentation. Identifying potential collection issues and communicating them to leadership. Supporting teammates and assisting with departmental projects as needed. We're looking for someone who brings: High school diploma or equivalent. One year of general office experience or comparable administrative experience. Previous medical office or healthcare billing experience preferred. Knowledge of insurance billing, claims processing, and collections preferred. Experience with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace preferred. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent customer service and communication abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy. A collaborative attitude and willingness to assist teammates. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and perform the physical requirements of the position.
