Healthcare Registration Associate Amarillo Heart Institute is seeking an experienced Registration Clerk. In this role, you will work in a fast paced, high volume cardiology practice. What are we looking for? A motivated, dependable, caring professionals who can interact well with patients, doctors and fellow employees. In this role you will register patients by updating demographic and insurance information, collect co-pays, payments and make financial arrangements, daily reconciliation and prepare for deposit, verify insurance and eligibility and benefits. One year of healthcare office experience required. Bilingual a plus.
Responsibilities:
Greet and assist patients in a professional and friendly manner. Register patients by collecting necessary information and verifying insurance coverage. Maintain patient records and ensure accuracy of information. Follow HIPAA guidelines to protect patient confidentiality. Assist with medical administrative support tasks as needed.
Experience:
Previous experience working in a dental or medical office preferred Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures Proficiency in using electronic health record systems Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
