JOB SUMMARY
: Review Insurance and Benefits, send to appropriate dept to have patients be scheduled. OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Class
I. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Receives internal and external referrals to run eligibility and benefits a. Receives referral form from medical provider to provide continuity of patient care. b. Obtains insurance information and contacts carrier for authorization if appropriate. c. Obtains benefit information and estimation to provide to the patient their responsibilities for upfront collection. d. Calls requested consultant to schedule an appointment within timeframe indicated. Copies all pertinent medical records and mails or faxes to consultant Cross trains to provide support to business office and medical records

Consistently maintains confidentiality of patient records Adheres to and supports organizational policy and procedures Demonstrates courteous, compassionate and efficient service to our customers, both internal and external Works cooperatively, effectively and respectfully with others. Represents the organization in a professional manner at all times. Performs other position-appropriate duties as required in a competent, professional and courteous manner
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
: A.
Education :
High school graduate or equivalent B. Personal job-related skills : Verbal and written communication skills. C. Licensure, registry or certification : None required. D. Experience 1.
Prior work experience:
One year experience in a medical clinic environment 2.
Technical training:
None required E. Physical and mental requirements : Duties of position require intermittent walking, sitting, standing and lifting up to 40 pounds.
