Contributes to overall goals of the department. Provides secretarial support for the agency. Responsible for office schedules, correspondence, and effective communication as well as assisting billing and data collection.Job Qualifications:
High school diploma required; associate or bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, or related field preferred 2-3+ years of healthcare administrative experience (rehab, outpatient services, hospital registration, referrals, or medical office preferred) Experience with:- Prior authorizations and insurance verification
- Patient scheduling and referral management
- Patient registration and demographic/insurance accuracy
- Medical coding and charge entry (CPT/ICD-10 knowledge)
- Billing workflows and denial prevention
- EMR/EHR systems
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance requirements preferred
- Experience working with
PT/OT/SLP
departments preferred- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, providers, therapists, and payers
