Why You'll Love Working Here Mission-driven, community-focused organization Supportive, team-based culture Opportunities for career growth and development The ability to make a meaningful impact in underserved communities What You'll Do & Bring As a Specialties Patient Services Specialist, you will serve as a key point of contact for patients, families, and community partners—providing excellent service both in person and over the phone while supporting efficient clinic operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality customer service while maintaining patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance Answer calls, document communications accurately, and route messages to the appropriate team members Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments across clinical providers and locations Review patient charts to ensure all required documentation (ID, consent, demographics) is complete and up to date Assist patients with registration, forms, and understanding visit requirements Address patient concerns professionally, resolving minor issues and escalating when needed Collect and discuss co-pays, co-insurance, and deductibles prior to visits Reconcile cash drawer and prepare payments for transfer to the accounting team Maintain proficiency in EHR systems to support accurate scheduling and patient communication
What You Bring:
High school diploma or GED required Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to multitask and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Experience with office equipment and basic administrative tools Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds Professionalism in handling sensitive situations and patient concerns Team-oriented mindset with a commitment to quality patient care
Preferred:
