The ideal candidate will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care while supporting both clinical and front office operations. This position requires strong knowledge of medical terminology, pediatric immunizations, and excellent communication skills to ensure patients receive high-quality care and a positive experience throughout their visit. Responsibilities Front Desk Duties Greet and check in patients in a courteous and professional manner. Register patients and accurately update demographic and insurance information. Answer phone calls and assist patients with questions regarding appointments, office procedures, and general inquiries. Verify patient information, insurance coverage, required documentation, and collect copayments/deductibles. Schedule and confirm patient appointments. Maintain efficient patient flow and provide outstanding customer service at all times. Clinical Duties Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures. Perform routine clinical tasks, including: Taking and recording vital signs Preparing patients for examinations Documenting medical histories Assisting with physical examinations Administering pediatric immunizations Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with healthcare documentation standards. Ensure examination rooms and medical equipment are clean, organized, and properly stocked. Collaborate with providers and medical staff to deliver high-quality patient care in a pediatric setting. Qualifications Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification from an accredited program required. Minimum of 1 year of front desk experience required. Minimum of 2 years of Medical Assistant experience required. Experience with pediatric immunizations preferred. Pediatric office experience preferred. Typing proficiency of approximately 40 WPM preferred. Proficiency with EMR systems required. Strong understanding of patient care procedures and customer service best practices. Familiarity with medical coding practices is a plus. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport with patients and families. Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
