Primary Care Center Laredo, TX Job Details Full-time From $9 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Health insurance 401(k) Flexible schedule Qualifications Medical office experience Personal protective equipment (PPE) adherence High school diploma or GED Injection administration Medical assisting Medical terminology Full Job Description SeniorMed Primary Care Center is currently seeking full-time Medical Assistants (MAs) or Medical Office Assistants (MOAs) or Medical Coders who have a passion for providing the highest quality care at the appropriate skill level. MAs & MOAs will be a part of SeniorMed's collaborative team comprised of supportive clinical and administrative staff. The patient population is geriatric-aged and mostly covered through Medicare and Medicare Advantage plans. MAs and MOAs are expected to provide a standard of care that meets or exceeds that of a reasonably competent and knowledgeable MA/MOA. Duties performed will be within their scope of practice delegated by, and under the supervision of a PA/NP or physician.Responsibilities:
Assist physicians, NP/PA, and nursing personnel with injections, EKGs, phlebotomy and other patient care procedures Maintain established quality control standards and understand value-based care model Record and process patient care documentation quickly and accurately Coordinate patient care as directed by physicians, company standards and policies Organize, stock and clean exam and treatment rooms and sterilize instruments Maintain quality control standards and required Medical Assistant and CPR certifications Manage multiple priorities and work in multiple departments/locations- This role is fast paced and you'll need to be comfortable learning quickly and adapting to different situations.
Required Qualifications:
High school graduate or GED Current, nationally recognized Medical Assistant certification or Medical Office Assistant Certification Current CPR and / or BLS certification or ability to obtain certification within 30 days of hire Knowledge of medical terminology This position requires Tuberculosis screening as well as proof of immunity to Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Tetanus, Diphtheria, and Pertussis through lab confirmation of immunity, documented evidence of vaccination, or a doctor's diagnosis of disease You will be provisioned with appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and are required to perform this role with patients and members on site, as this is an essential function of this rolePreferred Qualifications:
1+ year of experience as a Medical Assistant/ Medical Office Assistant or related experience in a medical setting ICD-10 and CPT coding experience Bilingual (English / Spanish) Microsoft experience Travel (if applicable) - Access to reliable transportation that will enable you to travel to client and/or patient sites within a designated area (at home visits with NP/PA)Other Notes:
