Job Description

SpineMD is devoted to and specializes in treatment of patients with spine and orthopaedic problems including neck pain, back pain, slipped or herniated disc disease, radiculopathy, radiating arm and leg pain, spinal stenosis, spinal injuries, fractures and other spinal conditions. We specialize in nonoperative and operative spine care. We aim to provide a friendly, collegial, efficient and cozy working environment for our staff. Our organization is in need of a dedicated Front Desk Receptionist experienced in insurance verification to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will assist in providing quality patient care in a medical office setting mostly in the front office. Scheduling patients, checking patients in/out, triaging patients when necessary, insurance verification along with confirming copayment/deductible amounts, obtaining referrals, obtaining preauthorization for procedures, answering patient phone calls, and other medical office duties. Occasional assistance in the back office will be useful given that this is a small office.
  • Duties
  • Support healthcare providers in delivering patient care
  • Manage patient appointments and scheduling
  • Assist with medication administration/procedures as directed
  • Handle patient inquiries and provide exceptional customer service
  • Maintain electronic health records using eClinical
  • Basic coding knowledge would be useful
  • Coordinate referrals to specialists or other healthcare facilities

  • Experience in a medical-surgical or clinic setting
  • Proficient in patient care and service delivery
  • Familiarity with medication administration protocols
  • Knowledge of medical coding practices
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
