Location:
Pampa Regional Medical Center - Rural Health Clinic Responsibilities The Patient Service Representative (1) Interviews the patient or his/her representative to obtain identifying and basic demographics to prep for upcoming visits (2) Schedules patients in their clinic and assists with scheduling them in others (3) Verifies insurance coverage, collects co-pays and prior balances from patients, reconciles and prepares deposits, and troubleshoots billing issues (4) Greets and checks in patients (5) Handles all incoming phone calls and routes to appropriate staff or initiates messages (6) Coordinates clinic business processes such as supply ordering, sales calls, record release, fax and mail processing. Must be able to (1) Operate a computer to accurately input and retrieve data (2) communicate with the population served, staff, and providers utilizing age specific techniques. (3) Maintain proficiency in medical terminology (4) Project a positive and helpful attitude. Qualifications Previous experience in a medical setting, preferred Knowledge of medical terminology preferred High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred Customer Service experience preferred Employment Status Full Time Shift Days Equal Employment Opportunity Company is an equal employment opportunity employer.
