Full Job Description Benefits:
401(k) 401(k) matching Competitive salary Health insurance Paid time off Busy Internal Medicine Practice in Plano, Texas looking for an experienced Medical Receptionist for Check In/Out. Must have a minimum of 2 years experience as a medical receptionist in a medical office setting. Experience with eClinical Works or another electronic medical records systems is very helpful. We are searching for an applicant with outstanding customer services skills, who can multi-task, is detail oriented, and who is self-motivated and works well with others.
Job Type:
Full-time - Monday to Friday Greets, interviews patients and completes all paperwork necessary to ensure the check in/out process is efficient and all clinic and regulatory policies are in compliance. Answer phone calls and directs them appropriately Schedules appointments according to office guidelines Ability to perform Online verification of benefits Obtain accurate patient and insurance information, collecting co-pays and deductible amounts Ability to post both patient and insurance payments. Prepares charts for patient appointments making sure all necessary information is complete Ability to conduct all functions associated with patient check-out including pricing services, collecting patient responsibility payments and scheduling follow-up appointments. Performs duties involving record filing and retrieval and assisting with the filing of registration documentation in electronic medical records. Coordinates vendor lunches for physicians Performs other duties as assigned. Required Skills Requires excellent customer service and communication skills Organizational and time management skills. Proficient computer skills. Knowledge of clinic procedures and regulatory requirements. Possess a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism. A team player who handles multiple projects simultaneously in a fast paced environment. Required Experience High school diploma or equivalent. Healthcare experience preferred. Medical Assistant preferred Experience with eClinicalWorks a plus Benefits Generous PTO time 401 K after 1 year
