DRTX Outpatient Therapy Plano We are seeking a Patient Account Registrar, sometimes referred to as a Hospital Admission Representative. The Patient Account Registrar collects and verifies patient demographic and insurance information while ensuring eligibility, benefits, and authorizations are accurately obtained. The Patient Account Registrar collaborates closely with the Admitting team and communicates effectively with patients across all age groups. Responsibilities Interview patients or authorized representatives to gather accurate demographic and insurance information Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, and required authorizations Enter and retrieve patient data using computerized systems Communicate clearly with patients using age-appropriate techniques across all life stages Support Admitting department operations, including reception, PBX functions, and special assignments Qualifications 1. Previous hospital experience as an admissions representative preferred. 2. Knowledge of medical terminology preferred. 3. Effective written and verbal communication skills 4. Ability to multi-task, prioritize needs to meet required timelines 5. Analytical and problem-solving skills 6. Customer Services experience required 7. High School Graduate or GED Equivalent Required (effective 4/1/14 for all new hires) Here are some of the benefits of working at
