In this vital role, you will serve as the point of contact for managing patient referrals, ensuring seamless communication between our office, the patients and the referring providers office. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to improved patient outcomes through efficient referral processes and outstanding customer service. Responsibilities Coordinate and process patient referrals by verifying insurance coverage and eligibility using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems. Obtain necessary prior authorizations from insurance providers, ensuring all documentation meets medical necessity criteria. Communicate effectively with patients to schedule consultation and surgery appointments. Experience Prior experience working in a medical office environment or healthcare setting is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of health insurance policies, managed care processes, and insurance prior authorization procedures. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally across diverse audiences. Knowledge of clinical confidentiality policies such as HIPAA is required to ensure patient privacy at all times. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for documentation, reporting, and correspondence related to referral activities. Pay:
$16.00 - $18.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
