Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Patient Account Representative specializing in OB-GYN billing to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess strong medical billing expertise, excellent customer service skills, and a thorough understanding of healthcare claims management. In this role, you will be responsible for managing patient accounts, ensuring accurate billing processes, and facilitating smooth communication between patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers. Responsibilities Process and submit medical claims accurately using billing software, EMR (eclinicalworks) Review and interpret medical documentation, including CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-10, and DRG (Diagnosis-Related Group) coding to ensure proper billing. Follow up on unpaid or denied claims with insurance companies to expedite payment collection. Maintain detailed records of patient accounts, payments, adjustments, and collections within medical records systems. Communicate effectively with patients regarding billing inquiries, payment plans, and insurance coverage details. Stay current with healthcare claims management regulations, health insurance policies, and medical coding updates. Collaborate with clinical staff to verify billing information and ensure compliance with medical coding standards Requirements Proven experience in medical billing with a focus on OB-GYN or related specialties. Strong knowledge of CPT coding, ICD-10, and modifiers Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and billing software platforms Must have experience working with EMR (Eclinicalworks)/EHR systems within a healthcare setting. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle sensitive information professionally. Familiarity with healthcare claims management processes and health insurance policies. Knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, and medical coding practices. Prior experience in a medical office environment is highly preferred.
