In this role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience from the moment they arrive. Your primary responsibilities include managing patient check-ins and check-outs, scheduling/confirming appointments through calls and messaging, verifying insurance information, and maintaining accurate electronic health records. Your energetic approach will help foster positive patient interactions, streamline administrative processes, and uphold the highest standards of confidentiality and compliance with health regulations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to quality patient care while developing your skills in medical administration. Duties Greet patients warmly upon arrival and assist with check-in procedures efficiently Schedule, reschedule, or cancel patient appointments using patient management software and EMR/EHR systems (Practice Fusion) Verify insurance coverage, process payments, and update patient billing information accurately Answer incoming calls promptly, providing clear information and directing inquiries appropriately Maintain strict confidentiality of all patient information in accordance with privacy laws and health regulation policies Assist with medical administrative support tasks such as data entry, document scanning, and filing Communicate effectively with patients, caregivers, and other providers regarding appointment details, test results, or follow-up instructions Ensure compliance with healthcare policies by adhering to documentation standards and confidentiality protocols Qualifications Bilingual Spanish-speaker (required) Prior experience working in a medical office or healthcare environment preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel) and familiarity with patient management software or EMR/EHR systems Knowledge of health regulation policies and health insurance procedures Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly via phone and in person Understanding of medical terminology and electronic health records management preferred Excellent organizational skills with accurate typing speed for data entry tasks Ability to maintain patient confidentiality diligently at all times Office experience demonstrating professionalism, reliability, and attention to detail Join us as a Medical Clinic Patient Access Representative and be part of a dedicated team committed to delivering exceptional patient care through energetic service and meticulous administrative support.
