Depending upon the size and practice work flows, the Healthcare Administrative Associate may only perform one of the higher levels functions as opposed to multiple functions. The Healthcare Administrative Associate Performs front office functions including patient registration, scheduling, check-in, and check-out processes. Manages multi-line phone systems, screens calls, and routes messages appropriately. Maintains accurate patient demographic, insurance, and eligibility information. Collects co-payments, deductibles, and other payments and balances daily transactions. Coordinates referrals and obtains insurance authorizations as required. Maintains and organizes medical records in compliance with regulatory standards. Performs charge entry, coding support, and resolves billing-related issues. Uses electronic medical record systems for scheduling, reporting, and documentation. Provides directions and assistance to patients and visitors. Maintains reports, databases, and spreadsheets and performs basic data analysis. Supports administrative functions including correspondence, reports, and meeting materials. Assists with event coordination, scheduling logistics, and departmental projects. Performs basic clinical support tasks under supervision as assigned. Serves as a resource for team members and assists with training as needed. Maintains a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.
