Hampton VA Healthcare System (Station 590) and associated CBOCs & Patient Call Centers across the Hampton Roads catchment area
Location:
100 Emancipation Drive, Hampton, VA 23667
Duration:
1 year contract with the possibility of 2 optional years
Shift Schedule:
Monday Friday only, 8-hour shifts, Tours of duty: 7:00 AM 3:30 PM, 7:30 AM 4:00 PM, or 8:00 AM 4:30 PM Shifts Needed per

Not specified in the SOW•roughly 21 22 weekday shifts/month minus federal holidays Credentialing /
Onboarding Time:
6 8 weeks
Education:
One year of post-secondary education, OR six months of qualifying experience, OR an equivalent combination
Experience Needed:
Six months of clerical, office, customer service, or administrative work (or education substitution above)
Special Skills Needed:
Typing at 40 WPM average English proficiency (spoken and written) Basic knowledge of Computerized Patient Record System (CPRS) Proficiency with office software/databases for data extraction and entry Ability to work independently and adapt to reassignment HIPAA-compliant confidentiality practices
Responsibilities:
Schedule, cancel, and reschedule appointments and consults Manage recall reminders and VistA/CPRS alerts Support My HealtheVet secure messaging and ROI processing Review and reconcile travel and ambulance reimbursement claims Scan and index records into the EMR (HIM support) Coordinate Community Care scheduling and provider/Veteran follow-up Provide general reception and customer triage Cover vacancies and backlog across assigned or reassigned locations Prime Physicians is a physician-led, The Joint Commission (TJC) Accredited, ISO 9001 certified and CMMI Level 3 appraised organization.
