Job Summary The Patient Services Representative serves as the first point of contact for patients and visitors in a busy medical practice. This role provides excellent customer service while supporting front office operations, including patient registration, scheduling, insurance verification, and payment collection. The ideal candidate is professional, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Greet patients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner Answer incoming calls, schedule appointments, and route messages appropriately Verify patient demographics, insurance, and referral information Collect copayments and outstanding balances; issue receipts and balance payments Accurately enter and update patient information in the EMR system Schedule follow-up appointments and ensure complete visit documentation Prepare charts and maintain accurate, timely documentation Collaborate with clinical and billing teams regarding patient needs Maintain a clean, organized front desk and waiting area Assist with scanning, filing, and administrative tasks as needed Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Medical office or front desk experience preferred Strong customer service and communication skills Proficiency with computers and EMR systems Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
