Position Summary We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and energetic Direct Support Professional (DSP), Caregiver, Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), or Patient Care Aide to provide one-on-one support to a young adult with developmental and complex medical needs in a home and community-based setting. This rewarding role focuses on promoting independence, enhancing quality of life, supporting daily living activities, and encouraging meaningful participation in the community. Essential Responsibilities Provide direct care and support with personal care, hygiene, meal preparation, and activities of daily living. Minimum of 1 year of behavioral experience. Assist with medication administration and health-related tasks as trained. Support mobility, transfers, and safe use of adaptive equipment. Encourage independence, social engagement, and community participation. Accompany and support the individual during recreational, educational, and community activities. Assist with communication using adaptive communication devices (training provided). Support behavioral, social, and life-skill development goals. Maintain accurate documentation and follow agency policies and procedures. Foster a positive, respectful, and person-centered environment. Required Qualifications Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Ability to pass required background checks. Willingness to complete agency onboarding and training requirements. Ability to provide personal care assistance. Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Dependable, patient, compassionate, and professional attitude. Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including assisting with transfers and mobility support. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience supporting individuals with intellectual, developmental, or physical disabilities. Background in nursing, healthcare, occupational therapy, speech therapy, recreational therapy, education, Experience providing patient care in home, community, hospital, nursing home, or assisted living settings.
