This is a key position within our practice. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced medical office, communicates well with patients and staff, and is willing to assist wherever needed. This role combines surgery scheduling, front-office responsibilities, patient communication, administrative support, and coordination with our clinical team. Primary Responsibilities Coordinate and schedule patient surgeries, including surgical dates, preoperative appointments, postoperative appointments, and related testing. Communicate surgical instructions and scheduling information clearly to patients. Coordinate with physicians, clinical staff, surgery facilities, anesthesia providers, and other parties involved in surgical care. Answer incoming telephone calls and assist patients with scheduling, general questions, messages, and concerns. Assist patients with questions regarding their care and direct clinical questions to the appropriate medical staff when necessary. Assist with insurance, billing, and coding questions and communicate with the billing team when additional follow-up is required. Help obtain insurance information, authorizations, referrals, and other documentation needed for patient care and surgery. Order and maintain office and clinical supplies and help ensure appropriate inventory levels. Assist with front-desk responsibilities, including patient check-in/check-out, appointment scheduling, and collecting required information. Provide administrative support to physicians and clinical staff. Assist the back office and clinical team when additional support is needed. Maintain accurate documentation within the electronic medical record and practice-management systems. Help maintain an organized, professional, efficient, and patient-friendly office. Perform additional administrative and patient-care coordination duties as needed to support the practice.
