You will assist patients with daily activities and tasks, provide physical support, companionship, and help take care of the home. Care Assistant Duties and Responsibilities Encourage patients to preform daily personal hygiene Support patients with mobility, standing, and physical activities Cueing/reminders for self-medication administration Schedule patient appointments, cancellations, and update records Accompany patients to appointments Maintain cleanliness and sanitary needs of patients' space and living areas Ensure patients' safety; remove any safety hazards Meal preparation and planning Laundry Answer the telephone, assist with gathering personal mail and other correspondence Shopping for groceries, running errands Provide companionship and conversation Care Assistant Requirements and Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Performs all tasks in compliance with the company policies, rules, and procedures; understanding of HIPAA Rules and Regulations Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently Excellent verbal and written communication skills; great interpersonal relations and confident demeanor Compassionate and sensitive to patients' needs and concerns Demonstrating related housekeeping or personal care experience
