Summit Eye Care of Wisconsin is seeking an experienced Patient Care Representative to join our team at our Menomonee Falls and Wauwatosa locations. This is a fast-paced medical office position requiring strong multitasking, communication, and customer service skills. Previous medical office experience is required. Applicants without medical office experience will not be considered. Responsibilities include greeting and checking patients in and out, scheduling appointments, answering a high volume of phone calls, verifying insurance and demographic information, collecting copays and other patient payments, processing faxes, assisting with patient requests, and performing general front-office duties. Candidates should be comfortable working with Medicare and commercial insurance plans and handling multiple responsibilities at the same time while maintaining a professional and friendly demeanor.

Qualifications:

Minimum 1 year of medical office experience required Experience with patient registration, scheduling, and insurance verification Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong computer skills Ability to multitask in a busy medical office Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work independently and take initiative Ophthalmology experience and medical terminology knowledge preferred

Hours:

Regularly scheduled days will be Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, with a half day on Thursday anticipated as part of the regular schedule. Additional hours may occasionally be available or required. Candidates must have the flexibility to provide additional coverage for staff absences, vacations, and other scheduling needs. Please submit a resume for consideration.
