Job Description

We are looking for an energetic person to join our fast paced team! Must love working with people, be comfortable working with computers and technology, and is a team player. This position is full-time and will be anywhere between 34-40 hours per week at our Oshkosh location. We would prefer someone with previous optometric or medical office experience, but are willing to train the right candidate!
Receptionist Duties & Responsibilities:
As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our company duties include the following: Patient Greeting & Reception
  • Greet and welcome patients in a friendly and professional manner. Ensure patients check-in, complete necessary forms, and verify insurance information. Appointment Scheduling & Management
  • Schedule appointments for eye exams, follow-up visits, optical orders & training, and special testing. Confirm and remind patients of their upcoming appointments via phone, email, or text message. Reschedule appointments and handle cancellations as needed. Phone & Email Communication
  • Answer and direct incoming calls, taking messages and providing information about services, products, and policies. Respond to patient inquiries via email and assist with general information about the optical services provided. Insurance Verification & Billing
  • Verify patient insurance information and process insurance claims for exams, glasses, and contact lenses. Assist patients with understanding their benefits, co-pays, and coverage. Administrative Duties
  • Maintain accurate patient records in the EHR system. Process patient payments, co-pays, and handle any billing inquiries. Keep the reception area clean, organized, and stocked with necessary materials. Collaboration with Staff
  • Work closely with optometrists, opticians, and technicians to ensure smooth patient flow and service delivery.
Assist in coordinating patient referrals and follow-up visits as needed.
