SUMMARY:
The Facility Service Representative supports the needs of healthcare facilities and patients by providing fitting, education, and follow-up services related to mastectomy and compression products. This role ensures patients are properly fitted for prescribed products and understand their use and care. The position also completes required patient documentation and supports accurate billing and claims processing for services rendered.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides customer service and support to clinics, physicians, therapists, facilities, and patients.
- Properly fits and dispenses mastectomy and compression products based on patient needs and physician orders.
- Communicates effectively and compassionately with patients, including patients who may be in a fragile or sensitive state.
- Provides product application and education during initial fittings and follow-up visits or calls.
- Makes necessary product modifications to ensure proper fit in accordance with physician orders.
- Coordinates follow-up fitting appointments with patients as necessary.
- Maintains knowledge of product use and care, fitting concerns and solutions, company products and services, patient education, and follow-up requirements.
- Responds to patient, facility, and provider questions, issues, and concerns.
- Communicates effectively with team members and management.
- Ensures accurate completion of insurance and billing information.
- Uses electronic medical record systems to access appropriate patient information, support billing activities, and review relevant medical records.
- Understands and follows applicable billing processes.
- Completes and submits accurate and timely documentation in accordance with company, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
- Adheres to internal corporate compliance guidelines, applicable healthcare regulations, and policies and procedures established by clinics, hospitals, and other facilities.
- Represents Kinex Medical in a professional and ethical manner.
- Maintains a professional appearance.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, coworkers, and management.
- Ability to learn and properly fit and dispense applicable mastectomy and compression products.
- Strong computer and web-based skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, electronic medical record systems, and other web-based tools.
- Valid driver's license and dependable transportation, if required for the position.
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous experience working in a medical facility, healthcare environment, patient service role, or similar setting.
- Previous experience fitting, dispensing, or educating patients on mastectomy and/or compression products.
- Experience working with electronic medical record systems and healthcare documentation.

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is performed in healthcare facilities, clinic environments, and patient homes. The position may require interaction with patients, healthcare professionals, and facility personnel in a variety of healthcare settings.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the essential functions of this position, the employee may be required to sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and perform other physical activities associated with patient fittings and product handling. The position requires the ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
