Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Patient Services Representative, where your energy and organizational skills will be the heartbeat of our patient-centered environment. In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience. Your proactive approach will support efficient clinic operations, accurate medical documentation, and seamless communication between patients and healthcare providers. Responsibilities Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing exceptional customer service and guiding them through check-in and appointment processes Manage appointment scheduling using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance verification, and handle billing processes including medical collection tasks Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and proper documentation review Assist with phone etiquette by answering multi-line phone systems efficiently and directing calls appropriately Support clinical staff by preparing intake forms, updating care plans, and managing medical office management tasks including filing and data entry Utilize computer skills to navigate various EHR (Electronic Health Record) systems Efficiently and accurately interviews patient and documents medical history Skills Efficiently and accurately interviews patients and documents histories. Understands and follows procedures for procedural consents. Displays consistent professionalism. Is energetic and empathetic with patients. Consistently displays positive rapport with fellow employees. Cooperates with supervisory staff and physicians. Understands role in the team's effort. Is available to doctor when needed.
