Job Summary Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Registered Respiratory Therapist — Quick Start! In this vital role, you will deliver expert respiratory care to patients across various settings, including emergency, ICU, neonatal, pediatric, and adult care units. Your expertise will help stabilize and improve patient outcomes through advanced airway management, ventilator support, and critical care interventions. Your skills will be essential in providing compassionate, high-quality respiratory therapy that enhances patient recovery and well-being. Duties Assess patients' respiratory status by monitoring vital signs, blood gases, and lung function tests to determine appropriate treatment plans. Administer respiratory treatments such as oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, and airway clearance techniques with precision and care. Manage ventilators and other respiratory devices for patients of all ages, including neonates, pediatrics, and adults in critical care settings. Perform airway management procedures including intubation, extubation, and emergency airway interventions during cardiac arrest or trauma situations. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans aligned with patient needs. Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, treatments administered, and response to therapies within Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems. Respond swiftly to emergency situations such as cardiac arrests or respiratory distress by providing life-saving interventions following established protocols. Skills Extensive knowledge of hospital medicine, emergency medicine, ICU protocols, and critical care practices. Proficiency in ventilator management, respiratory device operation, and advanced airway techniques. Strong understanding of physiology, anatomy, pulmonology concepts, and neonatal resuscitation procedures. Experience working in Level I or Level II trauma centers with acute care and inpatient settings. Ability to perform patient assessments accurately while utilizing medical terminology effectively. Skilled in the operation of medical equipment related to respiratory therapy and electronic health records (EHR/EHR management). Excellent patient care skills with a focus on pediatrics, geriatrics, and outpatient populations; capable of managing complex cases involving multiple comorbidities.
