Job Description

Category Respiratory Therapist Job Type Contract Advance your career as a skilled Respiratory Therapist in a dynamic hospital environment. This contract opportunity offers the flexibility of choosing between 36-hour or 48-hour assignments, with 12-hour night shifts running from 7:00pm. Professionals who hold either a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential or a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) certification (with at least two years of experience) are encouraged to apply. Candidates with prior Cerner or
EPIC EMR
experience are highly valued, and first-time travelers are welcome if they meet the experience requirements.
Key Qualifications:
Active RRT or CRT certification (CRT applicants must have a minimum of 2 years' experience) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required;
ACLS/APLS
preferred Previous experience with Cerner or EPIC electronic medical records Demonstrated expertise in adult general and critical care respiratory therapy Familiarity with technology including Omnicell, Spacelabs monitors, and ventilators such as
PB 840, PB
980, Drager VN500, LTV, and Airvo Willingness to float to like units as staffing needs arise
Schedule/Hours:
12-hour night shifts, 48 hours per week Weekend rotation required (every other weekend) Voluntary on-call available
Role Responsibilities:
Deliver comprehensive respiratory therapy services to diverse hospital patient populations Accurately document care and collaborate with an interprofessional team using Cerner EMR Manage and operate advanced ventilators and medication dispensing tools Support patients across various acuity levels, managing critical and non-critical ventilatory support Participate in thorough orientation: 24 hours classroom and 24 hours on unit for new or returning travelers Benefit from an engaging, supportive team culture and robust orientation process to ensure your success.
