Job Description
Schedule:
12-hour shifts: 7:00 AM-7:00 PM or 7:00 PM-7:00 AM Weekend rotation: every other weekend Voluntary call available Holiday coverage: one major and one minor holiday per policy Up to 7 days of approved time off (excluding blackout dates)Qualifications:
Active RRT credential, or CRT with minimum 2 years' experience Previous LevelIII NICU
experience within the last year for NICU assignments BLS and NRP certifications required for NICU;ACLS/APLS
preferred Experience with Cerner (EMR) required; EPIC also considered Skilled with critical care, adult, or NICU respiratory therapy Familiarity withPB 840, PB
980, Drager VN500, LTV, Airvo ventilators preferred Omnicell and Spacelabs experience a plus At least 2 years' total experience required; first-time travelers welcome with appropriate backgroundKey Responsibilities:
Deliver exceptional respiratory care across adult, critical care, and NICU populations Participate in ground transports, Nitric Oxide administration (NICU role) Float between like units and patient areas as needed Document care accurately in Cerner EMR Attend 24 hours classroom and 24 hours unit orientation for new/returning travelers as applicableBenefits:

A Respiratory Therapist assists patients who have trouble breathing because of a chronic respiratory illness, trauma, or other conditions. Administers tests to diagnose breathing problems, performs treatments to help patients breathe easier, or sets up breathing equipment such as ventilators. Works closely with physicians and other healthcare workers, and may also assist in providing emergency care to patients suffering from heart attacks, drowning, or shock. Works in hospitals; may also provide care and counseling to patients in their homes.
