Job Description

Category Respiratory Therapist Job Type Contract Deliver care that makes a difference as a Respiratory Therapist within a modern, 492-bed facility featuring a Level II Trauma Center, Level III NICU, and a Primary Stroke Center. This contract role demands expertise with adult and/or NICU patients, offering the opportunity to work in a diverse, high-acuity environment alongside a cohesive clinical team.
Schedule:
Available shifts: 7:00 am - 7:00 pm or 7:00 pm - 7:00 am Weekend rotation: Every other weekend Voluntary on-call opportunities Required to work one major and one minor holiday (per facility policy) Up to 7 days off approved, depending on blackout dates
Qualifications:
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) preferred; Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) with at least 2 years of experience considered BLS and NRP required for NICU assignments;
ACLS/APLS
preferred EMR experience with Cerner or EPIC required for first-time travelers At least 2 years of clinical experience required; prior Level
III NICU
exposure within the last 12 months for NICU roles Proficient in general and critical care respiratory therapy for adults; NICU therapists should bring experience in ground transports, Nitric Oxide administration, or similar neonatal-intensive procedures
Core Responsibilities:
Deliver respiratory care to adult and neonatal patients throughout the hospital, including the NICU if assigned Safely manage patients on advanced ventilators (PB 840, PB 980, Drager VN500, LTV, Airvo) Document assessments and interventions in Cerner EMR Float as needed to like units or patient locations Adhere to hospital protocols, policies, and participation in interdisciplinary care teams
