Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. The Respiratory Therapist will provide comprehensive respiratory care to patients across various settings, including inpatient, outpatient, and community-based environments. This role involves assessing patient needs, developing individualized treatment plans, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to optimize respiratory health outcomes. Duties Conduct thorough assessments of patients' respiratory function, including physiology and anatomy evaluations, to determine appropriate interventions. Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that incorporate therapies such as trigger point therapy, physiotherapy techniques, and patient education. Manage and operate advanced respiratory equipment for procedures like ventilator support, oxygen therapy, and aerosol treatments. Collaborate closely with physicians, physical therapists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care strategies and discharge planning. Document all clinical activities accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems in accordance with clinical documentation standards. Provide patient rehabilitation services tailored to specific needs such as post-surgical recovery, neurology cases, or pediatrics. Assist in home health visits and outpatient clinic settings to deliver ongoing respiratory support and education. Monitor patient progress regularly, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes. Educate patients and their families on respiratory health management within home & community care contexts. Support inpatient and hospital teams by delivering acute care interventions for critically ill or geriatric patients. Skills Extensive knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to respiratory therapy. Proven experience in acute care environments such as hospitals or inpatient units. Strong background in outpatient rehabilitation centers and outpatient clinic settings. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and EMR management for accurate documentation. Ability to develop comprehensive care plans incorporating discharge planning and patient rehabilitation strategies. Experience working with diverse populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, orthopedics, neurology, and home health clients. Excellent client communication skills to effectively educate patients on treatment procedures and health maintenance. Proficiency in physiotherapy techniques related to respiratory therapy and trigger point therapy. Knowledge of clinical documentation standards necessary for compliance and quality assurance. Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams across hospital, outpatient, and community settings. Working knowledge of outpatient rehabilitation processes including outpatient experience and outpatient rehabilitation center protocols.
