What they do
A Respiratory Therapist assists patients who have trouble breathing because of a chronic respiratory illness, trauma, or other conditions. Administers tests to diagnose breathing problems, performs treatments to help patients breathe easier, or sets up breathing equipment such as ventilators. Works closely with physicians and other healthcare workers, and may also assist in providing emergency care to patients suffering from heart attacks, drowning, or shock. Works in hospitals; may also provide care and counseling to patients in their homes.

Pay:
$2,059
- $2,311/week Schedule 12-hour
Night Shift:
6:00 PM
- 6:30 AM Weekends and holidays Float as needed per department guidelines Position Summary & Responsibilities Perform vascular access procedures for patients across the hospital Assess patient vascular needs and select appropriate devices Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure safe, effective care Maintain accurate documentation and monitor patient outcomes Adhere to department protocols and safety standards Requirements RRT license (state of practice)•Required ACLS certification•Required VA-BC or CPUI certification•Preferred Experience in vascular access procedures•
