THE ROLE

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality respiratory care to patients in both hospital and outpatient settings. This role is critical in delivering effective patient assessment, airway management, and support for patients with respiratory conditions. As a member of our team, you will work in a Level I Trauma Center, contributing to the health and well-being of our patients.

Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine respiratory needs and develop appropriate care plans. Administer respiratory therapy treatments, including oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, and ventilator management. Monitor vital signs and evaluate patient responses to therapies to ensure optimal outcomes. Provide airway management for patients in critical care settings, including ICU and PICU. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care strategies. Educate patients and their families on respiratory health, treatment plans, and home care techniques. Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities and treatment outcomes in compliance with hospital policies. Insurance Qualifications:

Valid Respiratory Therapist license and certification as required by state regulations. Strong knowledge of physiology related to respiratory function and disease processes. Experience in hospital medicine with a focus on outpatient care preferred. Proficiency in performing basic life support (BLS) techniques. Familiarity with vital sign monitoring and interpretation. Previous experience working in an ICU or PICU setting is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
