Job Details Qualifications & Skills:
Graduate of AMA-approved school of Respiratory Therapy; Registered Respiratory Therapist by the NBRC; BLS required on hire; ACLS within 6 months of hire.
Training & Experience:
Current, competent, and basic knowledge of intensive care and neonatal intensive care, including EKG, ABG, spirometry, and oximetry; team-oriented, compassionate, detail-oriented, with strong communication, patience, and problem-solving skills; ability to work collaboratively and with minimal supervision. Essential Functions include examining and treating patients with breathing or cardiopulmonary disorders, monitoring treatment progress, educating patients, drawing ABG samples, applying and monitoring medical gases and ventilators, assisting with airway management, performing diagnostic testing such as pulmonary function testing and electrocardiograms, and sharing workload with extended shifts, including call and holiday coverage.
Schedule:
Days shift, 12 hours, minimum 36 hours per week, with flexibility for extended shifts, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
