The Savoy at Fort Lauderdale Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a Weekend PRN Respiratory Therapist to deliver high-quality respiratory care to our residents. Responsibilities include performing assessments, administering therapies, managing oxygen and ventilator support, and monitoring patient responses. The therapist will collaborate with nurses, physicians, and the interdisciplinary team to develop and adjust care plans. Ideal candidates are compassionate, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a skilled nursing environment focused on dignity, safety, and strong clinical outcomes. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive respiratory assessments for residents and document findings Administer respiratory treatments, including oxygen therapy, nebulizer and aerosol therapies Monitor residents' respiratory status and adjust treatments per protocols and physician orders Manage and troubleshoot ventilators and respiratory equipment safely Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and the interdisciplinary team on care plans Educate residents and families on respiratory treatments and equipment use Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the EMRFollow infection control, safety, and regulatory standards Participate in care conferences and quality improvement initiatives as needed Required Skills Respiratory therapy Ventilator management Oxygen therapy administration Nebulizer and aerosol treatments Pulmonary function assessment Arterial blood gas interpretation Patient monitoring and documentation Infection control practices Interdisciplinary collaboration Electronic medical records (EMR)
