What they do
A Respiratory Therapist assists patients who have trouble breathing because of a chronic respiratory illness, trauma, or other conditions. Administers tests to diagnose breathing problems, performs treatments to help patients breathe easier, or sets up breathing equipment such as ventilators. Works closely with physicians and other healthcare workers, and may also assist in providing emergency care to patients suffering from heart attacks, drowning, or shock. Works in hospitals; may also provide care and counseling to patients in their homes.

Requirements:
Candidates must have a license (required for submission). This role may require floating to additional units and locations Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted. COVID vaccination required after submission. Declinations not accepted. No current placement allowed at

Unit Details:
NICU/PICU
patient population. Uses high flow devices, 3100A, Bunnell, Servo's, continuous nebulizers, nitric oxide, Heliox, and regular nebulizers. Respiratory therapists provide treatment, care, and evaluation for patients with respiratory diseases utilizing advanced technologies and medication delivery.
Floating Requirements:
May provide coverage for regular adult floors for nebulizer therapy, BIPAP, CPT, etc. 10 days maximum time off 1 Charge/Lead/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months Driver's license required

BLS (Basic Life Support) RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program
