A Respiratory Therapist assists patients who have trouble breathing because of a chronic respiratory illness, trauma, or other conditions. Administers tests to diagnose breathing problems, performs treatments to help patients breathe easier, or sets up breathing equipment such as ventilators. Works closely with physicians and other healthcare workers, and may also assist in providing emergency care to patients suffering from heart attacks, drowning, or shock. Works in hospitals; may also provide care and counseling to patients in their homes.
Empath Trustbridge Hospice is seeking a caring and motivated Respiratory Therapist to work with us in our West Palm Beach location while providing exception care on a PRN basis. What you will do:
Assess, evaluate, and monitor patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary conditions. Administer respiratory therapies, including oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, and airway management treatments. Operate and maintain ventilators, CPAP/BiPAP devices, and other respiratory care equipment. What you will need:
Florida license as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Continuing Education:
