A Respiratory Therapist assists patients who have trouble breathing because of a chronic respiratory illness, trauma, or other conditions. Administers tests to diagnose breathing problems, performs treatments to help patients breathe easier, or sets up breathing equipment such as ventilators. Works closely with physicians and other healthcare workers, and may also assist in providing emergency care to patients suffering from heart attacks, drowning, or shock. Works in hospitals; may also provide care and counseling to patients in their homes.

2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months. 3 months of Meditech experience is preferred.
Requirements:
Candidates must have a license (required for submission). This role may require floating to additional units and locations Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted. No current placement allowed at

Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience:
ICU, ER, and critical adult care. Level 2 NICU/pediatric care within scope. Use of AIDET.
Unit Details:
Aerosol treatments, BiPAP management, and ventilator management. RTs work at the top of license and may perform intubation, arterial line insertion, and bedside bronchoscopy assist. Participates in daily unit rounding. Uses Puritan Bennett 980 ventilators, Vapotherm, Philips V60+, and Siemens EPOC bedside ABG analyzers.
Shift & Scheduling:
Minimum of three 12 hour shifts per week with rotating weekends.
Floating Requirements:
Will rotate throughout all inpatient units, including the ICUs.
