A Respiratory Therapist assists patients who have trouble breathing because of a chronic respiratory illness, trauma, or other conditions. Administers tests to diagnose breathing problems, performs treatments to help patients breathe easier, or sets up breathing equipment such as ventilators. Works closely with physicians and other healthcare workers, and may also assist in providing emergency care to patients suffering from heart attacks, drowning, or shock. Works in hospitals; may also provide care and counseling to patients in their homes.

- 12:45pm may float to Apopka and Lake Mary practices as needed for coverage + Administers respiratory therapy treatments to patients with breathing and cardiopulmonary disorders.
+ Evaluates patients' respiratory conditions and develops appropriate treatment plans.
+ Operates and maintains respiratory therapy equipment, including ventilators and oxygen delivery systems.
+ Monitors patients' responses to therapy and adjusts treatments as necessary.
+ Educates patients and their families on respiratory conditions and proper use of equipment.
+ Collaborates with physicians and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
+ Performs diagnostic tests such as arterial blood gas analysis and pulmonary function tests.
+ Provides emergency respiratory care, including airway management and resuscitation.
+ Documents patient care activities and maintains accurate medical records.
+ Participates in the development and implementation of respiratory care protocols.
+ Ensures compliance with safety and infection control standards.
+ Other duties as assigned.
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

- Work Experience:
- + 1+ year of experience as a respiratory therapist [Preferred]
