Role Overview:

The Respiratory Therapist II provides advanced respiratory care, medication administration, and patient assessments, primarily in critical care settings. They perform ventilator management, airway procedures, arterial blood gas sampling, and collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care while promoting safety and compliance with policies Educate patients, families, and support staff; mentor new employees and students Perform invasive and non-invasive procedures, including ventilator management and pulmonary diagnostics Participate in quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practices Ensure accurate documentation, electronic order processing, and adherence to safety standards

Qualifications & Skills:

Associates or Bachelors in Respiratory Therapy;

NBRC-RRT

certification required Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and other relevant licenses 0-2 years clinical experience, with at least 6 months in critical care Strong communication, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills; proficiency with computers and databases
