Qualifications:
Valid credentials as a Respiratory Therapist or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) required Current state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist Demonstrated proficiency in respiratory therapies, diagnostics, and emergency interventions Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with physicians, nurses, and healthcare teams Ability to adapt quickly to evolving patient needs and changing clinical situations Prior experience in acute care or hospital settings strongly preferred
Responsibilities:
Assess, plan, and administer respiratory care procedures to patients with breathing or cardiopulmonary disorders Conduct pulmonary function tests and assess results to inform care plans Operate and maintain ventilators, oxygen delivery devices, and other respiratory equipment Monitor patient responses, adjust treatments as needed, and document progress accurately Educate patients and families on respiratory health, equipment usage, and post-discharge care Collaborate closely with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop optimal care strategies
