Category Respiratory Therapist Job Type Contract Seeking a skilled professional to provide respiratory therapy services within a clinical setting. The ideal candidate will play an essential role in evaluating, treating, and caring for patients with breathing disorders and respiratory diseases.
Qualifications:
Current certification as a Respiratory Therapist or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) Valid licensure to practice as a respiratory therapist Strong clinical assessment skills and familiarity with respiratory therapy equipment and protocols Experience in acute or inpatient care preferred, though new graduates are also encouraged to apply Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Ability to follow physician orders and adapt to changing patient needs
Responsibilities:
Assess, treat, and monitor patients with respiratory complications or disorders Administer oxygen, medications, and other respiratory treatments as prescribed Perform diagnostic tests, including arterial blood gas analysis and pulmonary function tests Educate patients and families on respiratory care, equipment use, and wellness practices Collaborate closely with the healthcare team to develop and adjust individualized care plans Maintain accurate patient records and document interventions according to facility policies Respond promptly to emergency situations and provide advanced airway management when required This contract assignment offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced healthcare professionals in a supportive environment.
